What is Pilates?

 

Pilates is considered mind/body fitness because of the emphasis toward mind/body control and integration.  Integration is a complete body connection that when practiced properly brings about efficient and effective movement patterns in everyday life.

 

Who can benefit from Pilates?

 

From the professional athlete to the more sedentary we are equipped to safely and effectively work with each individual at their own and greatest capacity.

 

How often should one practice Pilates?

 

Optimal results are achieved through individual effort and consistency of practice.  Sessions one a week are available with two sessions recommended while three or more maximizes the results.

 

 

What about the individual with physical limitations?

 

Pilates compliments the rehabilitative work of the professional reinforcing safe and effective movement patterns.  Many doctors and therapists recognize and welcome the added value this work brings to their patients.
